Calling all youth based in Hong Kong aged 16-24 to join our Coolminds Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and Youth Operations Committee (YOC)! Details below:
2022-2023 Coolminds Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)
Coolminds is looking for youth who are bilingual in English and Chinese, and keen to shed light on youth mental health in Hong Kong to join us as a YAC. We hope to build a platform where voices of youth will be heard and their ideas will form the foundation of Coolminds’ projects and events.
Commitment: 1 year, from 1 Sept, 2022 to 31 Aug, 2023
Role: Advise on the direction of Coolminds and to bring specific project ideas targeting young people to the table
Eligibility:
- Students aged 16-24 living in Hong Kong
- Passionate in mental health
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Dedicated to commit for a year and join quarterly meetings in October, January, April and July (in-person and/or online)
Please prepare the following documents prior to submitting the application form:
- CV (English)
- Recommendation letter from your teacher or mentor (English or Chinese)
- 100 words (English) self-introduction explaining why you want to work with Coolminds
- 200 words (Chinese) about what mental health means to you. It can be your own mental health experience (if you have any and wish to share) or your thoughts about the mental health journey of people you know of (e.g. your peers or family).
- 400 words (English) explaining how you think you could contribute to Coolminds and promote mental health to your peers or network. We encourage you to reference our strategy (click HERE).
- (Optional) You may upload documents showing your additional skills e.g. event planning, marketing, social media content development, graphic design, blog writing, translation, etc.

Youth Operations Committee (YOC)
Coolminds is looking for committed youth volunteers! If you are bilingual in English and Chinese, and keen to dedicate your skills in social media content creation / graphic design / blog writing / translation, join us as a YOC to work closely with the Coolminds team on a regular basis to perform hands-on tasks to keep this project running.
Commitment: Minimum 1 year and up to 3 years, from 1 Sept, 2022
Role: Work closely with the Coolminds staff on a regular basis to perform hands-on tasks in one of the teams (social media content creation / graphic design / blog writing / translation)
Eligibility:
- Students aged 16-24 living in Hong Kong
- Passionate in mental health
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Skilled in social media content creation / graphic design / blog writing / translation
- Dedicated to commit for at least a year and up to 3 years in one of the teams below:
- Social media
- Graphic design
- Blog writing
- Translation
