To help youth and those around them learn about mental health, we’ve created a workshop for educators.
- To improve the mental health of young people in Hong Kong
- To empower the school community by giving a common language and access to resources developed together with local clinicians
- To destigmatise mental health
This two-part series workshop is available in English and Cantonese. A minimum of of 15 participants is preferable.
Content includes:
Part 1: Introductory Level (1.5 hours)
Learning objective: To provide basic essential concepts of youth mental health
Programme description and rundown:
- What is mental health?
- COVID-19 and mental health
- Common mental health situations and their symptoms with case studies
- Where and how to seek help in HK
Part 2: Advanced level (1.5 hours)
Learning objective: To provide more practical tips and opportunities to practise how to approach students struggling with mental health
Programme description and rundown:
- How to talk to students in need
- Stigma around mental health
- How to promote mental health in school
- Self-care tips for educators
*We would recommend that schools/organisations to choose all 3 workshops (students, parents and educators) for a fully holistic package. However, you are also welcome to participate in individual workshops.
