Want to give a hand
Every contribution is ever too small. Join us in our mission to educate and empower young people in Hong Kong to look after their mental health.
Our community was built on the efforts and dedication of students who shared their experiences and spoke up on what support they needed from their society. Together, they collaborated to shape the resources and content you see on this website today. We invite you to become a part of Coolminds too, and hope that you will join us in our mission to spread awareness, advocate and show support for youth mental health
There are many ways you can get involved. Coolminds is an initiative that is truly by students, for students. We are always looking for volunteers (students and adults) to support the various projects we have. There are some opportunities listed below to get involved in at present, and please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com to learn more. We look forward to hearing from and working with you.
Volunteer With Us
We are looking for volunteers to help with Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation to ensure that our website can be offered bilingually. This is open to all ages. If you would like to volunteer as a translator, or learn more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and make note of any specific qualifications we should know about.
Editors and proofreaders
We are seeking volunteers (students and/or adults) to help proofread and edit our resources. We are looking for support for both our English and Traditional Chinese material. If you are able to help, please email email@example.com and make note of any specific qualifications we should know about.
Social media content creators
We are looking for students (Secondary or University) to help create and drive our social media platforms. We want our brand to be for youth, by youth. Experience in graphic design and/or illustration is a plus, but not a must! If you are interested in volunteering for this email firstname.lastname@example.org detailing why you are interested in helping, along with your past work on social media (text/graphics/your own social media account) and any specific qualifications we should know about.
Blog and story writers
Writing for our blog and/or sharing your own personal story are great ways to get involved with Coolminds and raise awareness of mental health. To learn how to write a blog (on any mental health or mental well-being related topic), please click here. To learn about sharing your own story, please click here. Should you have any questions about the process, please email email@example.com.
Open to adults. We are looking for Trainers for our Parent and Educator workshops (English and Cantonese speakers welcome). A background in education, healthcare, social work, or mental health is ideal. We are especially in need of Cantonese speaking trainers at this time. If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV to enquire about this opportunity.
Your fundraising efforts will go directly to supporting our programmes and events. Thanks to your contributions, we are able to reach hundreds of young people in Hong Kong to deliver anti-stigma campaigns, informative resources, education and training. You are welcome to fundraise for Coolminds HK via Simply Giving. Should you wish to learn more, please email email@example.com
Coolminds is a joint initiative by Mind HK and KELY Support Group. While Coolminds itself is not a S88 registered charity, both Mind HK and KELY Support Group are. Should you wish to make a donation to our Coolminds programmes, we encourage you to donate to either one of our charities. When making a donation, please make sure to note that it is for “Coolminds”, by writing this on the back of cheque or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
